HARVEY HOMEOWNER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (HAP)
The Harvey Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) is a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery & Mitigation (CDBG-DR & CDBG-MIT) program administered by the Texas General Land Office (GLO). The HAP Program provides demolition, rehabilitation, elevation and reconstruction services for homeowners affected by Hurricane Harvey throughout the Texas Coast, including damaged homes from Corpus Christi to the Louisiana border. The Hurricane Harvey Homeowner Assistance Program consists of rehabilitation services to restore storm-damaged homes with up to $65K in estimated repairs, reconstruction services for homes with more than $65K in estimated repairs, and elevation services for homes located in a floodplain.
Our capability and experience with rehabilitation, reconstruction, and elevation services, along with our experience with FEMA and HUD CDBG programs, allowed JWTC to be selected by the Texas General Land Office (GLO) to aid in long-term recovery efforts.
JWTC has work orders for the GLO HAP Program in all coastal zones of Texas. We have been the top-scoring builder in the program for multiple reporting periods.
