The City of Houston Housing and Community Development Department selected JWTC in March of 2018 to provide construction services in support of the Home Repair Program for residents in Harris County and portions of Montgomery and Fort Bend Counties where homeowners pay taxes to the City. The program provides rehabilitation, reconstruction, and new construction services for single-family homes to alleviate life, health, and safety hazards. Qualified projects range from rehabilitations less than 10k, moderate rehabilitations between 10k and 30k, substantial rehabilitations between 30k and 65k, and Reconstructions and new constructions between 65k and 150k. The Home Repair Program requires general contractors to competitively bid on each home individually.
