CITY OF HOUSTON SINGLE FAMILY NEW HOME DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The City of Houston Single Family New Home Development Program works to support the City of Houston’s affordable housing initiative in conjunction with the Houston Land Bank and the Houston Community Land Trust. The TIRZ funds in this program were allocated to assist prospective homebuyers to have safe, new, high-quality homes at an affordable price. This program assists with the home buying process, downpayment assistance, and quality homes at affordable prices. The lots for these homes are located in various communities across the Houston area.

In this program, a homebuyer must be at or below 80% of area median income, be willing to live in the home as a primary residence for an affordability period, complete an 8-hour homebuyer education course, and be able to obtain a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage for the home.

JWTC’s capability and experience with new home construction, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and elevation services and our experience with TIRZ, FEMA, and HUD CDBG programs allowed us to be selected by the City of Houston to provide construction services in support of the City of Houston’s affordable housing mission.

Five loaves.

Two fish.

Whatever you have, it is ENOUGH. When you offer what you have, small gifts become magnified.

What do we do? We brand, market, design, develop and create beautiful things.

We believe that strength is for service, not status.

Our marketing and public relations experience spans from American Quarter Horses to Texas Country Music, from sushi to pizzas, and city government to humane societies. We create concepts, bring them to life through graphic design, and then put them in motion through print, online and social mediums.
