Galveston Round 2.2

First House in Round 2.2 in Galveston

As a part of Galveston County Round 2.2 Ike Disaster Recovery Program, James W. Turner Construction was assigned Mrs. Joann Lakes home in Dickinson, Texas. Demolition started on September 24 and the house was completed in just 24 short days. Mrs. Lakes home was the very first house completed in the GCHAP Round 2.2 Ike Recovery Program and is a 1,248 square foot home on pilings consisting of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a one car detached garage. At completion of this house, JWTC was to be able to hand Mrs. Lakes the keys to her new home with the support of Galveston County Precinct 3 Commissioner Stephen Holmes, as well as Dickinson Councilman Dr. William King III. We are excited to not only be the very first home built in this program, but most importantly we were able to get Mrs. Lakes back into her house so that she can start creating new memories with her family.
